Since I'm always in the mood for a burrito, that's what I chose. I wanted a burrito, but the menu is soooo visually busy, I needed an adjustment period to figure out what I was reading. We looked over the menu, and it took me a few minutes to make up my mind. Instead she took our drink orders, and then walked behind the counter to the register where she took our orders. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly TF staff member, and I thought she was going to seat us. They've got a prime location in that mall since their outdoor seating is next to a water feature / fountain. TF is is just on Gilead Road across from the Bi-Lo, in the same strip-mall as the Starbucks and the Five Guys. As a reward, I was treated to lunch at Tijuana Flats (TF). This restaurant is not for me.Last week I agreed to cat-sit this weekend for my friend. The sodas we ordered were in Styrofoam Cups. We got our food which was average Mexican food at best. It was obvious that several employees had seen us sitting at the table and did nothing. That would have been nice if someone had told us that.
I told her that we have been waiting a long time for a server and she told me that we had to order at the counter and they would bring our dinners to us. I could see several employees in a room behind the counter so I walked over to the counter and said "Excuse Me" and a young lady came out of the back room and asked if she could help me. After a few minutes we decided what we were going to order and waited for a server who never came. I asked her for menus and she walked to the counter and obtained the menus. Finally an employee walked into the dining room and stated cleaning a table. After standing there for a couple of minutes we decided to sit down at a table. We walked into the restaurant and there were only two other couples in the dining room.
